Monika Martin, Host of Embody Your Flow Podcast

Monika Martin, host of Embody Your Flow podcast, speaks to The Industry Leaders about how her podcast got started, how entrepreneurs can use podcast appearances to their advantage and provides her #1 tip for any podcast guest looking to make an instant impression.

For those who don't know about your work, can you tell us a little about who you are and who your podcast is for?

I am a life transformation coach and an intuitive healer. I am also a certified yoga teacher and I have a background of 20 years in self-development. My work is inspired by my own life transformation: I overcame c-PTSD and burnout without medication after many years of suffering from crippling anxiety, terrible panic attacks, and debilitating chronic pain. That's when I found my purpose: life coaching. I now empower women to find themselves and their happiness to live a purpose and passion-driven life.

My podcast is for everyone who is interested in wellness, powerful life transformations, and living a happy and fulfilling life. I believe it is our birthright to live free, happy, and abundant.

What 1 tip would you give to a podcast guest who wants to make an instant impression?

Be yourself! Be as authentic as you can be. In a world that's taught us to be anything but ourselves, we have now reached a point in humanity where people are looking for more authenticity. And, I am very glad about it. Your uniqueness is what will make you stand out. But remember that you cannot please everyone! No one can.

How useful is appearing on podcasts for business owners or people wanting to build a personal brand?

It's very useful, and 99% most of the time it doesn't cost you a thing. It can be an amazing free tool to boost your visibility and your credibility. Make sure that you appear on podcasts that have your target audience.

What's your biggest challenge as a podcast host?

Honestly, I haven't had one so far. My podcast is like a diary where I share my thoughts, my life experiences, and my learnings. But it's also a place for others to share their own powerful life stories. I'd say that so far I have found guests quite easily and inspiration has never been an issue. Though, I have to acknowledge that when you're not outsourcing it can be a lot of work to do it all... especially when it comes to editing.

Is there another podcast (aside from yours!) that you’d recommend to business leaders?

I'd recommend The Essential Shift Podcast by Laetitia Andreac. She's a business innovator and strategist turned business coach who blends strategy and energetics.
